AIT and RIS Establish Cooperation
With the support of the AIT President, AIT and Ruamrudee International School (RIS) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a mutually beneficial cooperation that would facilitate the continuous education to children of AIT members and RIS students.

Doctoral comprehensive examination scheduled

Visit-AIT Day Draws 196 Prospective Thai Students
The ‘Visit-AIT Day’ held on 2 July 2007 drew 196 prospective Thai students. Some of them were accompanied by their parents. Aiming to share a glimpse of AIT, applicants were able to partake a slice of campus life while meeting students, faculty and staff from various nationalities.
Dr Ioan Marinescu ( http://www-mime.eng.utoledo.edu/people/faculty/imarinescu/), Professor, Mechanical, Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering Department, and Director of the Precision Micro-Machining Center, University of Toledo, Ohio, USA, will, upon the invitation of AIT President, will deliver a seminar on "Strategic Planning in Higher Education - A Guide for Leaders".
This seminar, to be held on Tuesday, 3 July 2007, from 8.30 a.m. in the Milton E Bender Jr Auditorium, will focus on strategic planning of graduate programs, including new programs, cost analysis, and improvement of existing programs.
The Royal Thai Government Coordination Office, in cooperation with the Student Office, will organize "Visit-AIT Day", an AIT Pre-Admission Orientation for prospective Thai students, on Monday, 2 July 2007, from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at AIT Conference Center.

Ph.D Research Fellowship Offered at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology
A fully funded PhD research fellowship is offered in the DASCOSA project at the Department of Computer and Information Science at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).
DASCOSA (Database Support for Computational Science Applications) is a research project at NTNU that aims at developing support for efficient database management in Grid systems.
