Japan's Vice Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), visits AIT
H.E. Mr. Toshiei Mizuochi, Vice Minister, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) Japan, on 3 August 2007, visited AIT along with senior officials from MEXT, the Director of the JAXA Office in Bangkok, and officials from the Japanese Embassy to Thailand.
During the visit, AIT administration officials were able to apprise the Vice Minister of some of AIT's ongoing activities, the strategic development plan of the Institute, as well as the new AIT Charter, and to seek the support of the Government of Japan in the new strategies and directions of the Institute. The Vice Minister and delegation also visited the Geo-informatics Center at the School of Engineering and Technology (SET).
Dr. Lal Samarakoon and Japanese faculty members helped coordinate this important visit.
