National Institute of Informatics (NII), Japan, to develop a joint two-stage master's program with AIT

National Institute of Informatics (NII), Japan, plans to develop of joint two-stage master's programs between AIT in computer science and computer engineering, according to the meeting of Professor Hensri Angelino, Acting Director, Global Liaison Office of NII, with AIT President Said Irandoust, Prof. Vilas Wuwongse, VP for External Relations, and faculty members from the School of Engineering and Technology on 27 July 2007.

Other possible areas of collaboration initially identified are as follows: (i) short-term engagement of researchers and post doctoral fellows from NII to work on specific projects to be conducted at AIT, (ii) internship program that will provide opportunity to NII master's and doctoral students to come to AIT under the framework of the NII International Internship, (iii) organization of joint workshops and (iv) joint research projects.
