School of Management welcomes new faculty members joining in August 2007 Semester
Full Time Faculty
Dr. Ravi Shankar (left), from India, is joining AIT as Associate Professor. Dr. Shankar obtained his B.Eng. (Mechanical Engineering),University of Allahabad, India, 1981; M.B.A. (Systems and Operations Management.), University of Allahabad, India, 1983; M. Tech. (Mechanical Engineering /Production Management), Regional Engineering College Jamshedpur India, 1991; and Ph.D. (Industrial Engineering Operations Management.), Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi India, 1999. Prior to joining SOM/AIT, he was Associate Professor, Dept. of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India. His research/consultancy interest areas are - supply chain and logistics management, operations management, total quality management and Six sigma, Knowledge management and Telecom systems management.

Dr. Winai Wongsurawat (right), from Thailand, is joining as Assistant Professor. Dr. Winai obtained his B.A.S., (Economics and Mathematical and Computational Sciences), Stanford University, 2001; and Ph.D. (Managerial Economics and Strategy), Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management, 2005. Prior to joining SOM/AIT, he worked at NERA, an international economic consulting firm based in New York City. He has written and published research papers in the areas of applied micro-econometrics, crime, and environmental pollution management.

Dr. Gerard Tocquer (left), from France, (A former SOM Associate Professor, 1999-2003) is joining as Visiting Associate Professor. Dr. Tocquer obtained his M.A. (Marketing) from the University of Sherbrooke, Quebec; and Ph.D. from the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis, France. He has expertise in Service Innovation, Service Culture and Branding.

Seconded Faculty from Taiwan (One Year)
Dr. Chia-Hsing Huang (right), from Taiwan, is joining as Visiting Associate Professor. Dr. Huang obtained his MBA, University of Connecticut, USA, 1990; and Ph.D., University of Pennsylvania, USA, 1994. Dr. Huang was an Associate Professor and Chairman, Department of Finance, National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, Taiwan. Currently, his research projects are in the areas of financial computing, financial innovation, and international finance and investment.
