AIT President attends National Day celebrations
On 30 August 2007, AIT President Said Irandoust attended the celebrations of Vietnam's 62nd National Day at the Grand Hall, Plaza Athenee Hotel, Bangkok at the invitation of Ambassador Nguyen Duy Hung. AIT faculty, staff members, and representatives of Vietnamese Student Association and Vietnamese students studying and conducting research at AIT, also joined the celebration.
President Irandoust congratulated the Vietnamese Embassy, professors, staff members and Vietnamese students on this occasion. At the event, AIT President said that he hoped Vietnam would experience great development in the future and that the Vietnamese community of AIT would attain high achievements in their studies and research work.
On Friday 31 August 2007, AIT President also took part in the reception marking the 50th National Day of Malaysia, and the 50th Anniversary of Malaysia-Thailand diplomatic relations, which was hosted by H.E. Dato' Shaarani bin Inbrahim, Ambassador of Malaysia to Thailand.
