On 8 November 2007, AIT President Said Irandoust met with Dr. Luis Jorge
Perez-Calderon, Deputy Executive Director of the Asian Disaster Preparedness
Center (ADPC), discussing several of the ongoing and planned initiatives
between AIT and ADPC, which includes the installation of the tsunami early
warning system at the AIT campus and running a master's program in disaster
management in partnership with AIT. As hosts of ADPC, and considering its
close proximity, President Irandoust encourages AIT to consider ways in which
we could actively further use our combined strengths in a more synergistic manner.
