There was quite a tough Chairball match between the men's team consisting of officers from 3 participating institutions and the AIT-TU-NSTDA women's team. The men's team somehow managed to win the game. The sports events included men's soccer, table tennis, tennis, badminton, golf, men's futsal, chairball and tug-of-war. Our AIT team did well in winning many of the events we have participated in.
The event culminated with a lively dinner reception and awards night at NSTDA, during which, the AIT President formally received the AIT-TU-NSTDA cooperation flag to signify the turnover to AIT for hosting of the Sports Day nest year. AIT has one year to prepare as host of the 2008 AIT-TU-NSTDA Sports Day. The Institute will continue to support these kinds of events, because such activities truly foster friendship and interaction, and further strengthen AIT'S relations with our neighboring institutions.
During the dinner reception, President Irandoust also had an opportunity to interact with Dr. Narong Sirilertworakul, Deputy Director NSTDA, who has proposed a number of areas in which AIT and NSTDA could further strengthen their collaboration, such as through the sharing of laboratory facilities and student theses supervision. In this context, the AIT President would like to encourage AIT faculty, staff and students, to explore areas in which there could be synergies between NSTDA and AIT.
