The ASEAN Foundation plans to provide scholarships for postgraduate studies for ASEAN nationals to study at AIT in the broad areas of agriculture, fisheries and animal production; development studies; environment; natural sciences; engineering; and, information and communication technology.

AIT Study Shows 20 Din Daeng Flats in Need of Major Renovation
An AIT investigation of the structural integrity of Din Daeng apartment buildings located in central Bangkok has revealed that 20 are severely damaged buildings and at risk of continuing deterioration at an alarming rate.

The 107th Graduation Ceremony will be broadcast live on 24 May 2007 at - http://www.mmserv.ait.ac.th/graduation/ Two ceremonies will be conducted that day. The morning commencement will be for the graduands of the School of Engineering and Technology.

The Aquaculture and Aquatic Resources Management (AARM) FoS will hold Shrimp farm Best Management Practices (BMPs) workshop on 28-30 May 2007 at the AIT conference Center. The workshop is a planned activity of shrimp Farm BMPs project co-funded by the EU Thailand Economic Co-operation Small Projects Facility, and is being organized jointly with the Networks of Aquaculture Centers in Asia-Pacific (NACA), Bangkok.

AIT Alumni wins "Business Idea Competition at Cambridge University"
Dr. Shrinivas Rao, an alumni (D.Engg 2000 & M.Engg 1992) and a former senior lab supervisor at AIT won the Cambridge University Entrepreneurs Business Idea Competition. He was among the 10 prize winners for innovative ideas competition.

Badges and certificates presentation to AIT students involved in fundraising
On 26 April 2007, the Golden Jubilee Fundraising Campaign (GJFC) team under the leadership of Dr. Ir. Khin Ni Ni Thein, Vice President for Development and Resources organized a ceremony to present the badges and certificates to the newly confirmed AIT Student Ambassadors, Student Sport Ambassador, Student Project Leaders and Student Fundraising Team Members.

AIT signs MoU with the International Center of Excellence in Water Resources Management
On 14 May 2007, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between AIT and the International Center of Excellence in Water Resources Management (ICE WaRM). ICE WaRM is an initiative funded by the Australian Government headquarter in Adelaide.
