Electric Power System Management (EPSM), Energy Field of Study of Asian Institute of Technology will hold a training workshop 16-18 May 2007 on "Waste Incinerator Power Generation Technology and Management" at the AIT Conference Center, Bangkok, Thailand.
28 May: AIT alumni brainstorming meeting
In order to attract more alumni, the AIT alumni brainstorming meeting has been rescheduled from 26 April 2007 to 28 May 2007 (from 09:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon), prior to the AIT Board of Trustees meeting to be held in the afternoon of the same day.
The agenda of the meeting is an open discussion on AIT alumni's roles and participation in the Golden Jubilee Fundraising Campaign 2007-2009. Based on the outcomes of this meeting, AIT will be organizing an "Alumni Home-Coming Seminar" in 2007.
AIT Alumni are asked to please confirm their participation by sending their name, position, and year of graduation to Mr. Kyaw Soe Hlaing, Alumni Relations Coordinator at aru@ait.

AIT participated in the recent EDUFEST'07 held in Guwahati, northeastern part of India and the capital of Assam State. Representing at the event were Dr. Joydeep Dutta, Associate Dean, School of Engineering and Technology together with Dr. Pritam Shrestha, Head, External Relations and Communications Office (ERCO) and Ms. Naina Shakya, Program Officer, ERCO. It provided an excellent opportunity to further highlight the Institute in the region, which already has several alumni and current students.

Progress on the Draft AIT Charter
On 2 May 2007, AIT President Said Irandoust met with the Chairman of the Executive Committee Mr. Jonas Hafstrom (Ambassador of Sweden) and Vice Chairman of the Board, Mr. Jean-Pierre Verbiest (Country Director, Thailand Resident Mission, Asian Development Bank) to discuss the draft AIT Charter to find a possible financial model which would be acceptable to all trustees.
