The Asian Institute of Technology’s own distinguished Thai alumnus Dr. Anusorn Sangnimnuan was recently awarded the prestigious Corporate Social Responsibility Award for 2008 at the 6th Annual CNBC Asia Business Leaders Awards (ABLA), organized by Asian business news broadcaster CNBC on 20 January in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

Dr. Anusorn Sangnimnuan is the President of Bangchak Petroleum Public Company Limited. He is also a Board Member of the School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD), Asian Institute of Technology, and a recent past President of the AIT Alumni Association (AITAA) Thai Chapter.

The CNBC Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award 2008 acknowledges Dr. Anusorn Sangnimnuan for his ability to translate his company's success into benefits for the community. Winners of the CNBC Asia Business Leaders Awards are visionary leaders who have demonstrated ingenuity, dedication and adaptability in sustaining growth and profitability. The recipient of this award is judged to have translated his or her company's success into benefits for the larger society.

Specifically, this honour is in recognition of Dr. Anusorn’s outstanding contributions to the arts, education, the environment and community development.
