Visitors from ACECR, Environmental Research Institute, Iran
On 21 January 2008, AIT President Said Irandoust was introduced by Dr. Saied Pirasteh to Dr. Hamidreza Maskani and Dr. Ali Meraji from the AcademicCenter for Education, Culture and Research (ACECR), Environmental Research Institute, Iran who were here in Bangkok to participate in HealthGIS 2008 Conference. They expressed interest in working with AIT on the four thematic areas which they are focusing on namely; environmental engineering, natural resources management, GIS for environmental applications, and waste management. They primarily work on research, consultancy and training for the public and private sector and potential areas for collaboration identified were through sponsored projects, short courses and also conducting joint conferences.
