On 4 September 2008, nine companies visited AIT to present their joint
research proposals in collaboration with AIT faculty. This meeting was
chaired by Dr. Suchart Muangkaew, Deputy Secretary-General of
the Commission on Higher Education.
The purpose of the joint research project is to enable companies to
make use of AIT’s research capabilities, while AIT faculty members have
an opportunity to work on solving real-world problems. The RTG Joint
Research Program will support up to 50% of the project cost up to 1
million Baht, while the partner company will contribute the remaining.
It is expected that the outcome of the projects will benefit Thailand
and also help in establishing long-term industrial linkages. The
research projects, along with the names of the companies and that of
the AIT faculty members who are the project leaders in the respective
projects are provided below.

(Maruyama Industry Co., Ltd. - Prof. D. T .Bergado). - Development of Robot Controller (Aerofluid Co., Ltd. - Dr. Manukid
Parnichkun). - Evaluation of TIPMSE programs as a tool to support Decision Making
for Promoting Waste Recycling System in Thailand (Thailand Institute of
Packaging Management for Sustainable Environment (TIPMSE) - Dr. Vilas
Nitivattananon).
