Matin Scholar Institute (MSI), Iran, discusses possible collaboration with AIT

An Iranian delegation from the from Matin Scholar Institute (MSI)
visited the AIT campus last January 2009. They met with AIT
President, Professor Said Irandoust
, Dr. Pritam
Shrestha
, head of the External Relations & Communications
Office, and Mr. Tenzin Rabgyal, program officer.

The Iranian delegations also met with Professor Vilas
Wuwongse
, Vice President for External RelationsĀ  and
Professor John Tang, faculty representative from the
School of Management for the AIT-Iranian Task earlier on 22 January
2009 .

The delegation was comprised of six guests from Matin Scholar
Institute (MSI), IranĀ  and the Commerce Siam Company Limited of
Thailand. Mr. Djahangeer Hasanzadeh, Managing
Director, Mr. Mahmoud Ghadiri, Mr. Habib
Sangtarash
represented the Matin Scholar Institute (MSI) of
Iran while Mr. Mohammad Reza Sorabi Ranani, Managing
Director, Mr. Zittikorn Chanthaprasit, Product Manager
and Ms. Saithip Phataraphuree, Secretary represented
Commerce Siam Company Limited, Thailand.

MSI is an authorized and licensed educational agent of the Ministry of
Science, Information and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Mr. Habib (MSI) mentioned that approximately 7,000 Iranian students
have been sent to Malaysia for higher studies through MSI. They are
interested in exploring prospects of sending Iranian students to
Thailand. Mr. Ranani (Commerce Siam) added that AIT is the only
university listed for the doctoral program under the Government of Iran
for higher studies in Thailand.
