Bonanza to greet visitors on Visit AIT day

An interaction with AIT faculty, guidance sessions for prospective
students, a free international lunch, and a cultural bonanza would
greet visitors at the Visit AIT Day. This will enable potential
students to visit and collect information about AIT that will help them
arrive at a life-time decision to study at AIT. This will also allow
parents to witness and experience AIT first hand and inquire about AIT.

Sponsored by RTG Coordination Office, the event will consist of two
sessions—the morning and afternoon.

In the morning, the day begins with an “AIT English Guidance session”.
This session will be targeted towards those who have not passed the
English proficiency requirement. This session begins at 8.30 am in the
morning, and the venue is the auditorium of the AIT conference centre.
This one hour session will also include an English mini-workshop to
help applicants prepare for the AIT English Interview Test.

After this session, registration for AIT study orientation shall take
place between 9.15-9.45 am at the AIT Conference Center Lobby. All
prospective Thai applicants, who have received and who are still
waiting to receive admission and financial support from AIT are
requested to attend the orientation.

This is immediately followed by dissemination of facts and information
about study program at AIT. This session will include an introductory
film on AIT, and information on financial support for Thai students by
the Royal Thai Government Faculty Representative, Professor Worsak
Kanok-Nukulchai. Head of student office, Ms Ann Lopez-Fontanilla, will
inform students about student learning support; while the president of
the Student Union, Mr. Shankar Shivdas Tagad will delve on various
experiences in student life. “AIT- A door to success for future
leaders” will be delivered by outstanding AIT Alumni, Mr. Prasong
Tharachai, president of the Engineering Institute of Thailand. These
talks will be followed by a question and answer session.

A free cross cultural lunch will be held at noon where visitors can
savor delicacies from various countries. The afternoon session has
three main events; namely a visit to the respective schools, campus
tours led by the Student Union and Student volunteers and a mini
cultural show.
