AIT to collaborate with Universitas Katolik Parahyangan (UNPAR)

AIT has signed a MOU and a MOA with Universitas Katolik Parahyangan (UNPAR). UNPAR is a private
Catholic university founded in 1955 by the Bishop of Bandung and Bishop
of Bogor, to help improving the capacity of Indonesian young
generation, especially in the West Java Province.

The agreement was signed by AIT President Said Irandoust with UNPAR
Rector Dr. Cecilia Lauw on 8 September 2009 as a part of the golden
jubilee celebrations of AIT.

The purpose of these agreements is to enable cooperation between AIT
and UNPAR to form a strategic partnership through academic, research,
training and other related activities.

A joint project “Optimization of Water Allocation between Offstream
and Instream Competing Demands” approved by UNESCO-IHE Partnership
Research Fund (UPaRF) will be implemented immediately.

The ceremony was attended by Prof. Robertus W. Triweko Dean, Faculty
of Engineering UNPAR, Dr. Mukand Singh Babel, field of study
coordinator and the team leader of the joint project, Water Engineering
Management, Dr. Shahriar Wahid, Senior Research Engineer and Mr. Nabeel
Bokhari from External Relations and Communications Office (ERCO).
