He added that for success in life, as in a career, ethics is the most
critical factor. He repudiated terms like “business ethics” stating
that ethics cannot be classified differently for different professions
and that it should form the bedrock of human behavior. He quoted a
research by Stanford University which stated that the ability to relate
to people contributed more towards success more than mere knowledge or
technical skills.
Delivering another talk Ms. Sangwan Sapna, Communication and
Networking Manager, Heifer Project International (Thailand) mentioned
how their company was involved in capacity building. She enumerated the
various projects run by Heifer.
Mr. Anshuman Saikia, Deputy Regional Programme Coordintor of IUCN
stated that IUCN was a rare body which has both sovereign governments
and NGOs as members. He elaborated on the IUCN flagship Red List of
Threatened Species.
The event saw participation by 28 companies. Organized at the AIT
Conference Center, the Career Fair witnessed students thronging various
stalls and exhibition booths seeking information on career prospects.
Mr. Steven J Hiatt from the Australian College of Applied Psychology
helped students with personal counseling.
