The Philippines renewed its full commitment to the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and wished to remain an active member by becoming a signatory of the new AIT Charter. This was stated by H.E. Mr. Alberto G. Romulo, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines during a meeting with H.E. Dr. Tej Bunnag, Chairman of the AIT Board of Trustees and Prof. Said Irandoust, AIT President during their recent visit to the Republic of the Philippines.

Philippines renews its commitment to AIT

The Philippines renewed its full commitment to the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and wished to remain an active member by becoming a signatory of the new AIT Charter. This was stated by H.E. AIT participates in United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) events

Prof. Sudip Rakshit, Vice President for Research, joined a series of UNEP activities in support of the existing partnership between the two institutions. On 2 October 2009, Prof. Rakshit attended the 10th Collaborative Action Network (CAN) meeting in which AIT is a CAN partner. The meeting began with an update on AIT-UNEP RRC.AP by Mr. Mahesh Pradhan, Interim Director.
