Jointly organized by the World Bank and the Asian Institute of
Technology (AIT) Library, the presentation elaborated on the structure,
scope and range of the activities of the World Bank Group including The
International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD),
International Development Association (IDA), International Finance
Corporation (IFC), Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) and
International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes
(ICSID).
Students of AIT were also informed of the information resources at the
World Bank database, particularly statistical data on World Development
Indicators (WDI) as well as the Logistics Performance Index (LPI). More
than 65,000 documents and reports are accessible at www.worldbank.org/reference.
