Shivaji University evinces interest in AIT


A team of faculty, staff and students from Shivaji University, Kolhapur,
Maharashtra (India) headed by Dr. Prakash D. Raut, head of deparment of
environmental sciences visited the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT)
and evinced keen interest in engaging further with AIT. Students
expressed their keen interest to participate in an exchange program at
AIT.

Doctoral students also evinced interest in conducting research at AIT
under the joint supervision of AIT faculty members. The purpose of
their visit was to acquaint themselves with the academic offerings,
research facilities and activities and AIT, and to learn about the
relevant developments.

. During the visit, they met Dr.
Nitin Afzulpurkar, Dean, School of Engineering and Technology (SET),
Dr. Weerakorn Ongsakul, Dean, School of Environment, Resources and
Development (SERD), Dr. Pritam K. Shrestha, Head-External Relations and
Communication Office (ERCO), Mr. Tenzin Rabgyal, Program Officer, ERCO
and Mr. Vickrant Gurung, Program Associate, School of Management,
(SOM).
