Chiang Mai University team visits AIT

The delegation led by Dr. Pitipong Yodmongkon of CAMT was curious
about the international character of AIT. Dr.Pritam K. Shrestha, Head
External Relations and Communications Office (ERCO) , introduced AIT to
the visitors and answered questions regarding the institute and its
functioning. He elaborated that not only did AIT have students from
over 40 countries, but it also had campuses in other countries as well.
Visitors were curious to learn about how AIT handles the mix of
international students and the role that the AIT Student Union plays in
this regard. Dr. Shrestha also explained the modalities of dual degree
programs being offered at AIT.

Dr.Nitin K. Tripathi, Director, Academic Quality Assurance and
Accreditation presented a detailed overview of academic quality
assurance at AIT. He deliberated on academic curriculum review, student
evaluation, peer teaching review, research quality evaluation and
academic program review. The delegation was impressed by the high
academic and research standards at AIT, specially the fact that AIT is
regarded as a regional leader in the area of climate change.

The delegates from CAMT comprised of lectures from the fields of
knowledge management, software engineering, animation, and information
and communications technology. Earlier the delegation was welcomed by
Dr. Shrestha and Ms. Wannapa Pliansri, RTG Relations Coordinator,
ERCO.
