Prof. Said Irandoust, President, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT),
welcomed the delegation comprising of Mr. Chatri and Ms. Emilie Naerum
Everett, Political Officer, Royal Norwegian Embassy, Bangkok. The AIT
President expressed his gratitude to the Royal Norwegian government for
its continuous support of AIT. He stated that Norway was one of
the first countries supporting education for sustainable
development.
Dr. Othniel Mintang Yila, Program Coordinator, External Relations and
Communications Office (ERCO) highlighted the achievements of the
"Norwegian -AIT Cooperation Programme." He elaborated on the Master’s
and Doctoral Scholarships, Gender and Development Studies (GDS) program
at AIT, networking with Norwegian and regional universities and
institions, as well as on the issue of capacity building for hazardous
chemicals management.
