Prof. Ahmad stated that the Darul Ihsan
University, which is already offering Bachelor’s and Master’s
programs in Management, is expanding into the fields of engineering and
technology, apart from tourism and hospitality management. Describing
AIT as a “great institution,” Prof. Ahmad said AIT has an unparalleled
branding in the field of education. He sought AIT’s association in
helping them offer courses in civil, electrical and mechanical
engineering.
Welcoming him, Prof. Said Irandoust, President, AIT elaborated on the
proposal to establish AIT satellite campuses in six countries. “People
need access to top quality education, and AIT is committed towards this
goal,” Prof. Irandoust remarked. He added that Bangladesh is one of the
signatories of the new AIT Charter. AIT also plans to establish a
campus in Bangladesh, he added.
Dr. Anil Kumar Anal of School of Environment, Resources and
Development (SERD); Dr. Pritam Krishna Shrestha, Head, External
Relations and Communications Office (ERCO); and Mr. Kyaw Soe Hlaing,
Program Coordinator, ERCO also attended the meeting.
