AIT student participates in UN Disaster training program

Mr. Clinton John Smith, a student at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and a volunteer at Télécoms Sans Frontières (TSF), has just concluded a training program for team members of the United Nations Disaster Assessment and Coordination (UNDAC). The training, which was held from 26 to 30 July 2010 in Port Dickson, Malaysia seeks to train UN emergency responders from the Asia-Pacific.

Nepal Airlines to offer travel discounts to AIT community

Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) will provide discounted airfare to students, staff, faculty and others participating in training, conferences and workshops affiliated with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). NAC will also provide other facilities like baggage allowance, child discount and group travel discount to the AIT community.
Results Based Management Familiarization Workshop
A Results Based Management (RBM) familiarization workshop is being organized at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) by the AIT Research Strategy Development Project. The broad objectives of this familiarization workshop are: 1) To familiarize faculty and staff of the technicalities in RBM so that they can contribute significantly in the research strategy development process .2) To enable faculty and staff to adopt RBM processes in other endeavors in the future.
NITI to contribute to AIT Endowment Fund

Alumnus of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and Executive Chairman of Nepal’s National Information Technology Institute (NITI), Mr. Pramod S. S. Pradhan has announced that half of his earnings from undergraduate student recruitment would be donated to the AIT Endowment Fund. He stated this during the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between NITI and AIT on 16 July 2010.
