November 2010 Career Day sees more companies than ever
Thirty-four Thai and foreign companies took their search for employee talent to AIT on November 12 by participating at the AIT Career Fair. AIT students and new graduates alike packed the Conference Center to network with corporate recruiters and investigate job and internship opportunities.
AIT Career Fair
The AIT Career Fair will be held on 12 November 2010 from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the AIT Conference Center. The Career Fair is an opportunity to interact with companies for both job and internship opportunities. It also provides a forum to discuss long term career prospects, on the job training, research partners and build a network.

China a good market for AIT: Chinese ambassador
AIT’s current enrolment of 18 students from the People’s Republic of China is low by historical standards. This was the view of China’s Ambassador to Thailand, H.E. Mr. Guan Mu, on learning last week that AIT has produced over 700 alumni from China.
‘China Day’ at AIT celebrates growing Chinese student presence in Thailand
It’s well known to the world that the Chinese economy is growing by leaps and bounds. One byproduct of this financial success has been the recent long march of Chinese students towards international educational destinations. But less understood, perhaps, is the fact that Thailand’s higher learning system earns high marks in the Middle Kingdom, and it is now a popular choice for many young Chinese seeking a study-abroad experience.
Thai students explore AIT
Forty undergraduate students from six universities and institutes of Thailand visited the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) on 5 November 2010, to interact with AIT students and learn more about the Institute. The students, who came from Chulalongkorn University, Thammasat University, Kasetsart University, Rajamangala University of Technology, King Mongkut Institute of Technology (Thonburi and Ladkrabang), and Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT) were fascinated by the internationality of AIT and its diverse range of offerings.
International Food Fair
An International Food Fun Fair is being organized by the Students Union of the Asian Institute of Technology on 5 November 2010 from 6.00 pm onwards. The event is being organized at the grounds adjacent to the Administration building.
AIT shows the way towards clean drinking water during disasters
With floods comes a deluge of water. Ironically, the deluge is almost always accompanied with water shortages. Water shortages may sound surprising during such times, but clean drinking water becomes a casualty during every disaster. Muddy waters mix with clean water, while drinking water pipelines get washed away, with the end result being lack of potable water.
