CASE Executive Director Asia-Pacific visits AIT

Ms. Beng Hwee make the comments during a fact-finding visit to the
Institute on 21 January 2011, meeting with AIT’s Vice President for
Resources Development (VP-RD), Prof. Worsak Kanok-Nakulchai, and other
administration staff members.

Welcoming Ms. Chua Beng Hwee, the vice president explained details and
strategies of AIT’s Endowment Fund Campaign launched in September 2010.
Ms. Chua Beng Hwee offered suggestions and illustrated examples of
successful university fundraising efforts. AIT is a registered member
of CASE, and the executive director enjoined AIT to engage with CASE via platforms offered to
professional members such as its online speaker series, and various
international training and capacity building programs.

Founded in the United States, CASE is a volunteer-led and supported
institution. It is one of the largest associations of educational
institutions in the world, comprising 3,400 member institution colleges
and universities.

Also participating in the meeting were Dr. Tien Le Hoang, Head, AIT
Alumni Office; Ms. Wannapa Pliansri, Coordinator, Royal Thai Government
Relations, Government Relations Unit (GRU); Mr. Syed Munstasir Husain
Bokhari, Program Officer, Fund Raising Campaign and representatives of
the Media and Communications Unit (MCU).

The meeting was followed by a networking session which saw
participation from Dr. Manee Luangtana-ana, Vice President for Academic
and Research Affairs, Silpakorn

; and Mr. Glen Chatelier, Director, Office of
International Affairs, Assumption
University
