Accompanied by a strong delegation from UNSOED, Dr. Iqbal stated that AIT
has contributed towards UNSOED’s capacity, since three lecturers from
UNSOED are AIT alumni, while another is currently enrolled at AIT. He
suggested that apart from sending more students to AIT, the UNSOED and
AIT could also initiate faculty and student exchange programs. Dr. Agus
Suyanto, Lecturer, Agricultural Faculty, UNSOED, who is an AIT alumnus,
said collaboration could focus on advanced study and research.
Earlier Dr.Weerakorn Ongsakul, Dean, School of Environment, Resources
and Development (SERD) stated that the AIT Center in Indonesia in
Bandung is being reactivated. Dr. S.L.Ranamukhaarachchi of Agricultural
Systems and Engineering (ASE) at SERD, elaborated on AIT’s expertise in
the fields of agriculture, natural resource management, rural
development, environment, and water. Dr. Peeyush Soni, Senior
Instructor, SERD provided a glimpse of the Agri Business Management
(ABM) program at AIT, while Mr. Kyaw Soe Hlaing, Program Coordinator,
External Relations and Communications Office (ERCO), welcomed the
delegates and gave a detailed presentation on AIT.
The delegation on UNSOED also comprised of Dr. Ponendi Hidayat, Vice
Dean of Academic Affair of Agricultural Faculty; Mr. Masrukhi, Vice
Dean of Finance Affairs of Agricultural Faculty; Mr. Adwi Herry, Vice
Dean of Finance Affairs of Agricultural Faculty; Mr. Bambang Setiadji,
Lecturer, Agricultural Faculty. Mrs. Imastini Dinuriah, lecturer,
UNSOED and current doctoral student at AIT also joined the delegation.
The delegation also met Dr. Pritam Krishna Shrestha, Head, External
Relations and Communications Office (ERCO) and Prof. Ganesh P.
Shivakoti, Coordinator, Agricultural Systems and Engineering, SERD.
