Despite the rain and intermittent weather, participants reached the
venue at Korea House to salute the glory of women. This being the
centenary year of the International Women’s Day celebrations, AIT is
organizing a host of activities, the signature campaign being one of
them. An artwork competition
is also being organized by the Gender and Culture Committee of the AIT
Student Union, along with the Gender and Development Studies (GDS)
field of study. The theme of the competition is “Equal access to
education, training, and science and technology: Pathway to decent work
for women.”
The winners of the artwork competition will be honored on 17 March
2011 at the AIT Conference Center. A play “The
Trial of Wantong” will also be presented by the Maradokmai Theatre
group that day.
