The MoU was signed by Prof. Ning Bin, President of BJU, and Prof. Said Irandoust,
President, AIT on 23 March 2011. AIT and BJU also plan to launch a two
stage Master’s program in high speed railways.
Prof. Bin remarked that AIT is very active in the field of
international cooperation, and BJU is happy to collaborate with such an
institute. “We are looking forwards towards an exchange of doctoral
students, and we hope to send Ph.D. students to AIT soon,” Prof. Bin
remarked. He said that BJU has a provision of providing scholarships to
visiting students, and this may interest AIT’s doctoral students. Prof.
Bin said that it was because of AIT’s strong international brand, that
three Deans and one Vice Dean were part of the BJU delegation which was
visiting AIT. Prof. Bin also evinced interest in AIT’s Doctoral of
Business Administration (DBA) program.
The BJU delegation included Prof. Liu Jun, Dean of School of Traffic
and Transportation; Prof. Wei Qingchao, Dean of School of Civil
Engineering; Prof. Lu Wei, Dean of School of Software; Prof. Liu Ying,
Vice Dean of School of Electronic and Information Engineering; and Ms.
Liu Yang from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange,
BJU.
Welcoming the delegation, the Prof. Irandoust stated that AIT has
signed a MoU with China Scholarship Council (CSC), which shall award 10
annual scholarships to students from China to pursue Master’s and
doctoral studies at AIT.
Apart from the AIT President, the BJU delegation also met Prof.
