Universiti Teknologi Mara signs MoU with AIT

Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), Malaysia, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), and looks forward towards sending students to AIT from the January 2012 session. The MoU, which was signed on 27 September 2011 by the Vice Chancellor of UiTM, Dato’ Prof Sahol Hamid Abu Bakar, and the AIT President Prof. Said Irandoust, seeks to foster cooperation between the two.
International conference on physical sciences planned at AIT

The International Academy of International Academy of Physical Sciences is planning to host its fifteenth international conference at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). This intention was expressed by general secretary of the Academy, Dr. P.N.Pandey, during a visit to AIT on 26 September 2011.

A delegation from Afghanistan has expressed admiration of the work done by the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) stating that it was “very impressed with AIT’s academic environment.†The delegation also sought a framework agreement with AIT, and invited the Institute’s representatives to visit Kabul to formalize the agreement.

The steering committee of the Global Water Partnership South East Asia ( GWP SEA) lauded the role of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and sought to strengthen its partnership with the Institute. Uzbek troupe enthralls AIT

Lilting melodies and graceful movements set to the tune of traditional folk instruments and the rhythmic drum beat marked the twentieth anniversary celebrations of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Organized at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), the famous Bukhara troupe from Uzbekistan kept a captive audience at AIT’s Conference Center auditorium spellbound for over an hour.

The event is jointly organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan at Bangkok, along with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). The event commemorates twentieth anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
