John Deere ties up with AIT

Signing the agreement, Mr. Sid Bardwell, Director, Strategic Marketing
Region (I) stated that he was pleased to partner with AIT. “John Deere
has been associated with universities for a long time, and we are happy
to have a formal partnership AIT,” he said. Mr. Bardwell added that the
current global concerns include provision of food for all, which poses
an enormous challenge. John Deere is working towards increasing
agricultural productivity, while lessening the environmental impact of
agricultural operations to help meet this goal, he added.

Welcoming the delegation, Prof. Said Irandoust, President, AIT stated
that the partnership with John Deere is in consonance with AIT’s
strategy to engage with both the public and the private sector. AIT is
a premier institution in Asia, and it seeks to work with its partners
to enhance its impact, he added.

The delegation from John Deere also included Mr. Kedar Sadalgekar,
Strategic Marketing Manager-Asia, and Ms. Oon Ming Ing, HR Supervisor.
Me. Sadalgekar provided an overview of John Deere’s activities. Later
Ms. Ing held a meeting with Ms. Joan Carla C. Gonzales, Coordinator,
Career Center and Student Affairs to discuss possibilities of
participationg of John Deer in AIT’s Career Center activities.

External Relations and Communications office (ERCO); Mr. P.V. Gopi
