Alumni to help AIT upgrade facilities

Asian Institute of Technology Alumni Association (AITAA) is exploring ways to help its alma mater and shall make efforts to help the Institute upgrade its facilities. This was the message conveyed by the Mr. Chaovalit Ekabut, President of AITAA and Vice President of Siam Cement Public Company Ltd, in a meeting with senior AIT officials on 29 March 2011.

NASA Attaché visits AIT

AIT hosted a visit by a senior official representative of America’s National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) last week. Mr. Justin Tilman, Attaché at the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo, and NASA’s representative in the Pacific Rim, visited AIT on 25 March 2011. Arriving at the invitation of the Geoinformatics Center at AIT, Mr. Tilman met with senior officials and gave a lecture to students and faculty titled “NASA Programs and Cooperation in Asia.â€

Career Fair draws record number of companies

Career Fair at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) held on 23 March 2011, witnessed the highest ever participation by companies and organizations, providing AIT students with an opportunity to interact with global majors. Inaugurated by Prof. Said Irandoust, President, AIT, and Prof. Joydeep Dutta, Vice President for Academic Affairs, the event saw participation from 35 companies.
BJU signs MoU with AIT, seeks exchange of doctoral students

Beijing Jiaotong University (BJU) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), seeking to establish a strong collaboration in academic and research programs. BJU and AIT have decided to collaborate in academics, research, training, and faculty development, apart from jointly organizing student activities.
