AIT volunteers rush to Japan to offer assistance
A team of volunteers, including AIT student Mr. Clinton Smith, and Regional ICT Coordinator of Télécoms Sans Frontières Mr. Sebastien Sivadier, have rushed to Japan to offer assistance in the wake of the destruction caused by the earthquake and tsunami which struck Japan on 11 March 2011.

Launch of Professional Master’s in Banking and Finance

AIT’s China Office gets media attention
The inauguration of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) China Office has grabbed significant media attention in both China and Thailand. The Nation newspaper in Thailand in a news item published on 7 March 2011, while mentioning that AIT inaugurated a new office in Shanghai, the first of its kind in China, stated that the move will increase the visibility of AIT in China.
