Wuhan Institute of Technology (WIT) signs MoU with AIT

The MoU between the two was signed by Prof. Wenxue Zhang, Vice
President, WIT, and Prof.
Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai, Vice President for Resource Development, AIT.
While Prof. Zhang was representing the WIT President, Prof. Li Jie,
Prof. Worsak deputed on behalf of the AIT President, Prof. Said
Irandoust. The MoU also seeks joint organization of international
workshops, conferences, seminars and symposia focusing on science and
technology.

Prof. Zhang, while thanking AIT for receiving the delegation, remarked
that both Institutes share common areas of interest. Our determination
to cooperate with AIT is strengthened following the visit to AIT, he
remarked.

Welcoming the delegation, Prof. Worsak stated that AIT had faced the
fury of floods, and that the Institute had just returned to its campus
after the flood. He introduced the entire gamut of academic, research
and training activities of AIT. Elaborating on AIT’s internationality,
he remarked that the aim is to maintain AIT’s diversity in the
future.

The delegation from WIT included Dr. Melody Lee, Director of
Foreign Affairs Department and Dean of the School of International
Education; Prof. Gong Mingsheng, Professor and Chairman of the
School of International Education; and Mr. Yinhua Jiang, Director
of International Cooperative Project Office.

AIT was represented by Dr. Nitin V. Afzulpurkar, Dean, School of
Engineering and Technology (SET); Mr. Vickrant Gurung, Program Officer,
School of Management (SOM); and Ms. Sumana Shrestha, Program Officer,
External Relations and Communications Office (ERCO).
