President, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Prof. Said Irandoust,
has greeted the AIT community on the occasion of International Women’s
Day. Prof. Irandoust requested the AIT community to participate in the
activities being organized at AIT to commemorate the International
Women’s Day, which includes a signature campaign at Korea House.
The AIT President stated that this year’s theme “Empower Rural Women –
End Hunger and Poverty” is very relevant to AIT’s mission and
vision.
Prof. Irandoust also complimented the Culture and Gender Committee of
AIT Student Union as well as the Gender and Development Field of Study
at School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD) for
spearheading the event.
