AIT has accepted an offer from its service contractor Sodexo to rehabilitate a number of flood-damaged campus facilities, such as the library, by the end of June 2012. The deal gives AIT special credit terms for work projects amounting to 16.9 million Baht.

Dr Dailey wins AIT Marathon

A spirited Dr. Matthew Dailey, Associate Professor in AIT’s School of Engineering and Technology (SET) emerged victorious in the AIT Mini Marathon organized by the AIT Student Union on 10 April 2012. Crossing the finishing line much earlier than his younger students, Dr. Dailey was the declared overall winner of the marathon.
SHE foundation trustee visits AIT

Dr. Burra Divya Sunitha Raj, Trustee of SHE (Social Awareness, Health and Education) Foundation, visited the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and discussed ways to promote AIT in India and Ukraine. Dr. Raj, who is also an Indian representative at the Ministry of Education, Science, Youth and Sports, Ukraine, stated that AIT has a lot to offer, and prospective students from India and Ukraine will find AIT an attractive destination.

Mini Marathon and Slow Cycle Race
A Mini Marathon and Slow Cycle Race will be organized by the AIT Students Union on 10 April 2012. The Mini Marathon begins at 1500 hours near the Squash Court adjacent to the Football Field. The slow cycle race will begin after the Mini Marathon.

completed
It was announced on April 17 that the rehabilitation of the AIT
International School is on schedule with 80% of all work now completed.
Officials are confident of meeting the April 23rd deadline for full
completion of the project.

Clausthal University of Technology (TU Clausthal), Germany has sought a partnership with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) with an emphasis on student exchange programs. This was stated by Prof. Volker Wesling, Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer, TU Chausthal, during a visit to AIT on 3 April 2012.
