Mekong River Commission and AIT have over a hundred years of work in the region

Stating that both the Mekong River Commission (MRC) and the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) put together have over a hundred years of work in the region, MRC Chief Executive Officer Mr. Hans Guttman remarked that AIT is a regional resource which MRC should draw upon to benefit from its geographical proximity.
Nine scholarships for students from Bhutan

Nine scholarships will be provided to students from Bhutan for undergraduate studies at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). This follows a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signed by Mr. Tshewang Tandin, Director General, Department of Adult and Higher Education (DAHE), Ministry of Education (MoE), Bhutan, and Prof. Said Irandoust, President, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) on 29 October 2012.

AIT President Prof. Said Irandoust on 14 October 2012 was an on-air radio guest via telephone of the FM radio program “Sunday Night News Talk with Bruce and Jane” on Radio Thailand News English Language Service, Public Relations Department of the Royal Thai Government. The hosts of the program were Mr. Bruce Avasadanond and Ms. Jane Ritdechawong.

AIT Career Center will be organizing seminars by Oxfam GB and RECOFTC on 24 October 2012 at the Milton E. Bender Jr. Auditorium. The presentations will organizational profile of the organizations and provide information about jobs and internships.
PRESS CONFERENCE: AIT President calls for stakeholders’ meeting, challenges AITAA Thailand Chapter president to open debate

Facing the Thai media on 19 October 2012, AIT President Professor Said Irandoust called for all stakeholders to proactively help resolve complications related to AIT’s operations and put out a strong plea to all to stop hurting AIT. He also urged the media to verify relevant facts with the AIT Administration and the relevant governing bodies before disseminating information because incorrect information would hurt AIT.
