The purpose of the MoU is to enable cooperation between AWARE C, AIT
and K-water Academy in the domain of knowledge exchange, to facilitate
sustainable development in the region. Activities under the MoU will
include sharing of experience, capacity building, educational support
to personnel, organizing joint international conferences, workshops,
seminars and symposia, and submission of joint proposal to government
and international agencies for sponsored research projects.
The MoU was signed during the 3G-IWRM conference jointly organized by
K-water Academy, AIT, and other partners including Royal Irrigation
Department (RID), Department of Water Resources (DWR), Metropolitan
Water Authority (MWA) and Provincial Water Authority (PWA), Thailand.
Prof. Babel delivered a congratulatory note during the opening ceremony
and presented AIT’s research titled “Water-Energy Nexus: An analysis of
Bangkok water supply system.”
