116th Graduation
116th graduation of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) will be held on 21 January 2012 from 9-12.00 hours at the 1st Floor, Grand Hall of the Thailand Science Park Convention Center (TSPCC), National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA). Ms. Margareta Wahlström, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Disaster Risk Reduction shall deliver the graduation address.

More labor arriving, army to join soon for cleaning operations
With the date of revival of academic classes in AIT’s mother campus advanced by a month, more labor force has been arranged and army help has been solicited to intensify the campus cleaning process.
Governor honors President for exceptional leadership during the flood
President of Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Prof. Said Irandoust was honored by the Governor of Bangkok, M.R. Sukhumbhand Paribatra at the Fifth Save our Planet Conference organized on 5 January 2012. President Irandoust was honored for providing exceptional leadership during the flooding of the institute when it was inundated by three metres of water.
AIT alumnus appointed COO of HSBC (Bangladesh)
An alumnus of the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) Mr. Ahmed Saiful Islam, has been appointed the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC) Limited in Bangladesh.
Afghanistan delegation keen of long term relations with AIT
A four member delegation from Afghanistan has shown interest in forging a long-term relation with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). The delegation suggested that AIT could consider Afghanistan as a base for reaching out to Central Asia.
AIT to resume academic classes from mother campus on Feb 15
Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) will resume academic classes from its mother campus in Pathumthani from 15 February 2012. This decision was approved by the AIT President Prof. Said Irandoust after a special meeting of the AIT Academic Senate held at the AIT campus on 7 January 2012.
NEF-CCN donates 300,000 Baht for AIT library
The Nepal Education Foundation-Consortium of Colleges (NEF-CCN) has donated 300,000 Baht to the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) as a contribution towards its rebuilding and reconstruction. The donation, which was made on 8 January 2012, is to be spent on rebuilding the AIT library.
