Dr. Parish Nalavade, an alumnus of Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) has been honored for his doctoral work, which he concluded at AIT. Dr. Parish was awarded the third prize in the inaugural edition of the “Giuseppe Pellizzi International Best PhD Prize” during the twenty-third annual meeting of the Club of Bologna held on 11 November 2012.
The award is granted for the finest doctoral thesis on agricultural
mechanics published during the past two years. The doctoral thesis
titled “Modeling of Soil and Powered-Disc Interactions for Development
of a Powered-Disc Harrow” was guided by Dr. Peeyush Soni, Assistant
Professor, AIT’s School of Environment, Resources and Development
(SERD).Dr. Parish Prakash Nalavade completed his Master’s (2007) and Doctoral
degrees from AIT (2010). He is currently serving as Assistant Professor
at Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India.

The Club of Bologna was founded in 1989 by FederUnacoma, and it brings
together global experts in agricultural mechanization. This year the
