China’s Zhejiang University students visit AIT School of Management

Led by Associate Prof. Mei Weihui and Dr. He Shanyun of Zhejiang
University’s College of Education, on 3 October 2013 ten postgraduate
and undergraduate students from the college visited with School of
Management Dean Dr.  Donyaprueth Krairit, who presented and
overview of SOM’s academic programs and later interacted with the
visitors.

Dr. Donyaprueth emphasized SOM’s established ranking, its
international composition of faculty and students and its global
network, as key strengths. The School of Management also offers its
students enriching dual degree and exchange programs with prestigious
partner business schools in Europe and Asia-Pacific, she
explained.

The Dean added that SOM is also distinguished by its challenging
curriculum and courses that place an emphasis on entrepreneurship and
management of technology, in marketable areas such as green business
development.

For their part, the Chinese students did well to present
Hangzhou-based Zhejiang University, proudly explaining its moto of
“Seeking Truth and Pioneering New Trails” and its recognized status as
one China’s top ten universities as a C9 League member. The young
visitors said private sector education was growing in China, so
combining international graduate level management education with their
education major could prove very beneficial. 

The ZU delegation visited AIT on the recommendation of UNESCO-Bangkok
and AIT-Chinese Student Union Association representatives. Five current
AIT students from China also received the Chinese visitors and
explained about AIT. The delegation’s visit was arranged by Mr. Tenzin
Rabgal, Senior Program Officer, ERCO, and Mr. Zia Islam, Senior
Academic Officer, School of Management.
