Shanghai Jiaotong University delegation visits AIT

A delegation from the Shanghai Jiaotong University (SJTU), China visited the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) on 15 October 2013 and expressed its desire to engage with AIT in joint academic and research programs. Led by Prof. Zongguang Wang, Honorary Chairperson of the University Council, the delegation also invited AIT to participate in a conference on Information Technology to be held earlier next year.

On 30 September 2013, Interim President Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai appointed the following AIT faculty members to serve as Interim Deans effective from 1 October 2013: Professor Voratas Kachitvichyanukul: Dean of School of Engineering and Technology (SET); Professor C. Visvanathan, Dean of School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD); and Dr. Donyaprueth Krairit, Dean of School of Management (SOM).
