AIT School of Management cracks global top 250 in B-School ranking by Eduniversal

For the sixth year in a row, SOM was ranked in the top echelon of the
nation’s business schools. The results placed the School of Management
in the top 250 business schools worldwide, according to the ranking
released in Istanbul in October.

The annual Eduniversal ranking rates business schools from 154
countries according to their international reputation at a national and
global level, and by geographical zone. After their selection, they are
divided within each country into five levels of excellence which
Eduniversal titles the ‘Palmes of Excellence’.

Seven business schools in Thailand were ranked, this year. SOM was one
of only two institutions to be extended ‘4 Palmes of Excellence’ as a
“top Business School with significant international influence.”

The Copenhagen Business School-CBS (Denmark) earned the ‘Master Title’
of the ‘Best School in the World’.

According to an Eduniversal press release, “a ‘Palme’ level is awarded
to each school based on a set of internationalization criteria
developed by the International Scientific Committee. These schools are
then ranked within each Palme level according to the assessment made by
peers: The Deans vote.

“The ‘Dean’s Vote’ allows the deans and directors of the best 1000
business schools worldwide to give their recommendations for each
school. The number of recommendations gathered determines the ranking
of the schools within each country and Palme league. http://eduniversal-ranking.com/methodology/palms

“Every dean’s vote was transformed into a recommendation rate that
students and other actors in the academic field can use to evaluate and
compare the academic institutions. The Eduniversal objective is to
establish a global mapping system that would take into account the
international influence and reputation of each academic
institution.”
