A book on “Climate Change and Water Resources,” jointly edited by Dr. Sangam Shrestha and Prof. Mukand Singh Babel, both faculty at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) has been released by CRC Press.

With an acceptance rate a mere 3 percent, earning a prestigious academic scholarship named in honour of His Majesty the King of Thailand and Her Majesty the Queen of Thailand, and named by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn for study at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) is not easy.

Twenty-nine ministry and government officials, logistics experts, supply chain managers and academicians from Sri Lanka Foundation Institute (SLFI) were exposed to advanced supply chain management practices in Thailand during a four-day long training program on “Strategic Supply Chain Management” organized at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) from 28 May – 1 June 2014.

A delegation of Singapore-based Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Asia (Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa) headed by its CEO, Ms. Mandy Mok delivered a presentation at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) on 9 June 2014 and complimented the Institute on its internationality. Accompanied by Mr. Ashwin Fernandes, Head of Client Relations, QS Asia, Singapore Office, Ms. Mok stated that QS reviews almost 3000 universities every year out of which 800 are ranked, placing them in the top five per cent of all higher education institutes worldwide.
