Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysia France Institute team visits AIT

Exploring partnerships with AIT on 13 May 2015 was a two-member
delegation of UniKL headed by Dr. Engku Ahmad Azrulhisham, Head of
Unit, Research and Innovation; and including Mr. Affandy Othman,
Program Coordinator for M.Sc. in Water Science and Engineering.

Dr. Engku stated that UniKL currently offers six Bachelor degrees in
this field, and the University is planning to expand their offerings at
the Master’s and Doctorate levels. He added that UniKL is a private
university but it is fully owned by the Malaysian Government. “Our
focus had been undergraduate programs, but we are now moving towards
postgraduate programs,” he added. UniKL sought AIT’s expertise in joint
programs, dual-degree programs, and unified programs.

Prof. Voratas Kachitvichyanukul, Dean, School of Engineering and
Technology (SET); Prof. C Visvanathan, Dean, School of Environment,
Resources and Development (SERD); Dr. Gabrielle Groves Punyaratabandhu,
Head, External Relations and Communications Office (ERCO); and Mr.
Arturo Gementiza Roa, Senior Laboratory Supervisor, Water Engineering
and Management, SET participated in the deliberations.
