Standard Chartered Bank brings over three dozen financial institutions to AIT

Speaking at the valedictory session, Dr. Jonathan Shaw, Executive
Director, AIT Extension, stated that AIT hoped to build on this
relationship, and planned to take it to the next level. “Consider AIT
to be your partner institution,” Dr. Shaw remarked as he requested all
participants to engage with AIT.

The opening ceremony witnessed participation by Mr. Abrar A Anwar,
Chief Executive Officer, SCB; Mr. Alamgir Morshed, Managing Director
and Head of Financial Markets;
Mr. Naser Ezaz Bijoy, Managing Director and Head of Corporate and
Institutional Clients. Prof. Nazrul Islam, Acting Dean, School of
Management, AIT; Dr. Willi Zimmermann of AIT; Dr. Tanatat; Mr. Naser
Ezaz Bijoy, and Mr. Alamgir Morshed were the panelists for the plenary
session. Dr. Fazle Karim, Head, Information Technology and Engineering
(ITE), AIT Extension stated that the participation of over three dozen
organizations in a single program made it a very unique exercise.

During the two-day program, Dr. Patricia Arttachariya of Assumption
University focussed on leadership skills, while Dr. Supasith
Chonglerttham of AIT and Dr. Tanatat Puttasuwan, formerly of the World
Bank, were the subject experts on Corporate Governance and Financial
Risk Management respectively.
