Learning by Drawing

A seminar “learning by drawing” is being organized for children of the AIT community on 9 June 2015 at Room E117, School of Environment, Resources and Development (SERD) from 09:00-11:00 hours. Organized by students of the Disaster Preparedness Mitigation and Management (DPMM) field of study, children will be introduced to the topic on Earthquake and Earthquake Hazards through animated videos.

AIT students reach out to Nepal’s communication needs

While Nepal was grappling with the immediate aftermath of the earthquake, students from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) were among the first to reach and provide emergency communication services. As a part of the team of Télécoms Sans Frontière (TSF), AIT students rushed to Nepal on 28 April 2015, and immediately began conducting a needs assessment before launching emergency operations.

Climate change is a reality that is having real consequences for the people of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations member states and the rest of the world. Rethinking our global development model, based on sound sustainability science principles, is an absolute necessity given that scientists are convinced that mankind has caused most of the planetary warming which has occurred over the last sixty years.
