Thai energy major Bangchak Petroleum Public Company Limited has donated 8 million Thai Baht (Approx. US$ 250,000) to the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) for the modernization of the postgraduate institute’s library and three Master’s level scholarships for eligible Thai nationals.

Newly appointed Director of Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), Bangkok, Mr. Masanobu Tsuji has commended AIT graduates, stating that the Asian Institute of Technology provides good quality education and that its graduates are highly capable. Mr. Tsuji made his remarks during a visit to AIT on 5 May 2015.

University Sains Malaysia (USM) has sought cooperation with the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in the fields of waste management, biomass and energy. A three-member delegation from USM visited AIT on 27 April 2015 to explore a collaboration, in both academics and research.
