With 7,000 patents filed every year in Thailand, and the average time to grant a patent being 12.7 years, Intellectual Property (IP) rights still has a long way to go in the country. 10 Afghan Officials begin Program on Drainage and Irrigation Structures

Ten officials of the Ministry of Energy and Water, Afghanistan, began their training program on drainage and irrigation structures at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) on 1 September 2015. Welcomed by AIT’s Vice President for Research, Prof. Kanchana Kanchanasut, the Afghan officials come from Kabul, Jalalabad, Kandahar and Mazar.
