Alumni support alma mater in CSR, campus renovation and leadership programs

In early December, AIT in partnership with the AIT Alumni Association
(AITAA) -Thailand, the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand, the
Industrial Estate Foundation, and the Plastics Institute of Thailand
and Thammasat University Hospital organized an event titled “BIKE +
LOVE = 2nd BREATH” at the AIT campus.

The event raised funds for the provision of breath assembly spacers
for those suffering from breathing problems and asthma. AIT volunteers
assembled spacers at the Conference Center Auditorium. Two rounds of
the AIT campus on a bicycle were the second activity organized on the
occasion on 2 December 2016.

The same day, alumnus Dr. Chainarong Na Lamphun donated 500,000 THB
towards renovation activities in the AIT campus. This included a sum of
200,000 THB towards renovation of the laboratory of Water Engineering
and Management (WEM), and 100,000 THB for renovation of the Computer
Science and Information Management (CSIM) laboratory, apart from
200,000 THB towards the renovation of Korea House.

Alumnus Tiger Leong, who was also the Alumni speaker at AIT’s 126th
Graduation contributed 500,000 THB towards the establishment of the
Tiger Leong International Innovation & Leadership Camp to be
organized at AIT. The camp, which will be organized by AIT Solutions
aims to be the premier leadership training camp for young
professionals. Meeting with AIT President Prof. Worsak Kanok-Nukulchai
on 15 December 2016, Tiger Leong also donated RM 14,000 on behalf of
seven AIT alumni from Malaysia towards the AIT International School
library. Donors included Tiger Leong King Ho, Koo Kean Siang, Dr. Lai
Yip Poon, Tan Chin Nyan, Tan Kim Foo, Tay Key Siang and Woon Yang
Leng.
