The College of Industrial Technology (CIT) of Thailand’s King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) joined the AIT International Unified Bachelor’s-Master’s Degree Program on 20 July 2020, signing a specific Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the AIT School of Engineering and Technology.
The MoA was signed on behalf of the AIT President by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mongkol Ekpanyapong, Head of AIT’s Department of Industrial Systems Engineering and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Smith Songpiriyakij, Dean of the College of Industrial Technology, KMUTNB.
For this Unified Program, students will spend their first seven semesters of a 4-year Bachelor’s program at CIT-KMUTNB, while completing their final semester at AIT doing a Capstone Project. Students then continue and complete the Master’s program at AIT. Unified Program students will earn two degrees – a Bachelor’s degree from KMUTNB, and a Master’s degree awarded by AIT. KMUTNB is the fourth university partner from Thailand for the international program which currently includes other partner universities from India, China and Nepal.
The College of Industrial Technology will be offering two Bachelor’s programs: Mechanical Engineering Technology and Mechatronics Engineering Technology while AIT will offer Master’s Programs in Microelectronics and Embedded Systems and Mechatronics (Robotics) from the Department of Industrial Systems Engineering, School of Engineering and Technology.
